At the Xtreme Black Belt Academy we take Xtreme martial arts very seriously, On the 25th of January another successful XMA camp took place to a group of excited students. The camp is high energy fast flowing with expert tuition from the UK’s leading instructors in weapons & forms. Students were given first hand tuition in xtreme weapons training as well as tricks & flips. Watch this space for more later this year . . . .

XMA camp a major success!

Held in Bali Indonesia, this was the 2nd Junior World Championship event & held in high regard & prestige by many Asian countries as equivalent to the Olympic games. This was the Wushu event of the year, where the competition was very high many of the teams being professional with full sponsorship & training 7 hours every day (wow!). The dedication & strive to perfection in this sport was amazing to see & really has driven us on to realise that West European teams have a long way to go to match the expertise of the Chinese & other Asian nations. However, amongst the BEST in the world Luke Scott still managed to achieve top ten positions in all 3 of his categories with his first attempt at this level, this is a highly commendable achievement & is a result of 4 years of really hard dedicated training, blood sweat & tears. Well done Luke!

2nd Junior Wushu World Championships - Success!

Following This championship was held in the Disney resort in November with temperatures around 16 deg C (Phew!), the setting was perfect for an excellent tournament. Amidst some controversial decision making all around the England team still raised their standards above all the rest of the competition. The Xtreme Black Belt Academy students were represented in forms & weapons. The Team achieved 15 of the 22 top medals for the England Team including 5 GOLD medals, this has produced national & World Champions within our academy in both Individual & Team categories. WKA World Championships - Florida October 08

2 members of STAGETRIX our very own Xtreme Performance team have now had 2 auditions for this series of Britain’s Got Talent. The next phase is the Semi-final to be decided on the 7th of February. The shows will go out from April to June 2009. Anyone interested in tickets for the next round of auditions should contact Master Scott to reserve their places. Luke & Ryan have done tremendously well to get this far & we wish them luck for the remaining auditions.

XBBA Talent to appear on BGT - ITV channel 3

This year’s championship was held in Manchester & was well attended despite the adverse weather conditions. The Xtreme forms team were out in full force again, with some excellent performances. There were some new faces as usual but this did not deter our experienced team. The medal count was 6 GOLD medals & 1 Bronze, the rest of our STAGETRIX TEAM picked up another 5 GOLD medals & numerous silvers & bronzes. This makes us 3 years in a row undisputed National Champions in forms & weapons.
A particular well done to everyone especially Master Tothill (GOLD) & Master Parker (BRONZE) for qualifying as well for the World Championships.
